Behind Closed Doors 2024
Behind Closed Doors is an exhibition design concept that emerged from a university course. Our main objective was to design an entire exhibition inside a single container — and my team and I used that challenge to tell a story.
The container takes the shape of a house. Welcome Home is an exhibition focused on shedding light on domestic violence and providing clear resources for support. Infographics, an animated video, and helplines are key elements visitors encounter both inside and outside our planned exhibition.
For this project, I was responsible for the concept development, the animation, and the creation of the 2D -,3D-, real-life, models of the exhibition.
Inside the exhibition space, a projection played an abstract animation that people can view inside the exhibition as they rest on a yellow sofa. It’s accompanied by music, offering a glimpse into what living under such conditions might feel like.
Another key aspect of this project was designing potential take-home materials for the exhibition, including stickers, posters, brochures, and paper handouts.
